In 2024, I found myself in a situation familiar to millions: job hunting. I was sending out dozens of applications every week, carefully crafting each resume and cover letter. Yet, the response rate was dismal. Out of 100 applications, maybe 5 would get a callback.

The frustrating part? I knew I was qualified. I had the skills, the experience, the drive. But something was getting lost in translation between my resume and the hiring managers.

Then I discovered the problem: ATS systems. These automated gatekeepers were scanning resumes before any human ever saw them, filtering out candidates based on keyword matches and formatting. My perfectly crafted resume was being rejected by robots.

Building the Solution

I started building tools for myself. First, a simple Chrome extension to save job listings. Then, a resume analyzer to check ATS compatibility. Before I knew it, I had built an entire suite of tools that transformed my job search.

My response rate jumped from 5% to over 30%. I started getting interviews at companies I had only dreamed of. And I realized: others needed these tools too.
